With all the choices about childbirth, where do you begin? The Birth Options class is designed for parents who are in their First Trimester or in the pre-pregnancy planning stage. Whether you are planning the birth of your first child or exploring the options for an additional baby, this class is the perfect introduction to the variety of choices in childbirth and will include information about hospital, birth center and home birth as well as childbirth education options and health care professional choices.

The Birthing Inn is excited to introduce a new childbirth class option for expectant parents, whether you are first timers or experienced. Birthing From Within® childbirth preparation inspires expecting couples to explore their deepest questions to prepare themselves for birth and the life that follows. Through birth art, innovative pain coping practices & exploration processes, you will gain tools and skills that will help you be resourceful during your experience giving birth. Partners will love the special dads only section which allows an opportunity for honest discussion around being a birth guardian and becoming a father. These workshops are alive, their direction depends on what you order up, so please feel free to bring your knowledge, questions & thoughts. Knowing what to expect and becoming familiar with the process of breastfeeding can reduce anxiety and allow breastfeeding to be a natural experience. Learn about the marvelous benefits of nursing your baby, latch and positioning, feeding cues, establishing your milk supply, and recognizing problems early. Get an overview of nursing bras, breast pumps, and milk storage. An interactive, mom's only class will help the expectant mother prepare for breastfeeding. The course will include practical advice on getting started, avoiding problems, and building confidence with nursing your infant.

You've prepared the nursery, you've prepared for birth, but have you prepared for how becoming a parent will affect YOU and your relationships? The Life After Baby class is designed to help expecting moms and dads prepare for the physical, emotional, hormonal and physiological changes that come with new parenthood. You will leave this class with tools to help you plan for how you will stay supported and healthy after baby arrives. How to get help for potential challenges, including postpartum mood disorders, will also be discussed. This class is designed to take BEFORE your baby arrives.
