+ I'm thinking about transferring care so I can give birth at TBI. How do I do that?

It’s as easy as one, two, three!

  • 1. Contact one of the affiliated midwives to see if they have room in their schedule or contact us for help finding one.
  • 2. Make a Meet and Greet appointment with your selected midwife.
  • 3. Gather your prenatal records for the midwife to review.
  • 4. Requirements: If you are transferring in the 3rd trimester, a gestational diabetes screen/test must have been performed, as well as a 3rd trimester ultrasound. If you prefer, you may have your selected TBI affiliated midwife order one. The ultrasound is to ensure your baby is safe to be born outside the hospital.

That’s it! As you can see, it’s pretty painless. Transferring care is a decision many women make late in their pregnancies.
