We’re thrilled to invite you to The Birthing Inn’s New Parents Resource Hour, a welcoming regular gathering designed specifically for expectant families in the Tacoma and South Sound area.
Meet Sarah Schofield: Your Guide to Confident Parenting
Sarah Schofield is an experienced certified birth and postpartum doula and previous midwife assistant with over 15 years of birth experience. Having attended over 400 births, she brings a wealth of knowledge and compassionate support to every birthing family that she meets.
What to Expect at Resource Hour
Sarah hosts these informative and welcoming group sessions at The Birthing Inn on a regular basis. This is your opportunity to ask questions, connect with other expecting parents, and gain valuable insights about pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. No question is too small or too silly—Resource Hour is a judgment-free space where you can explore your concerns and curiosities with an experienced birth professional.

Each Resource Hour includes a tour of The Birthing Inn’s beautiful Tacoma birth center. You’ll see our comfortable birthing suites, learn about the amenities available during labor and birth, and get a feel for the peaceful, home-like environment where your birth could take place. Seeing the facility in person helps many families envision their birth experience and feel more confident in their choices.
