Tricare Insurance for Midwifery Care at the Birth Center

Now Accepting Tricare Insurance

We’re thrilled to announce that The Birthing Inn is now certified with Tricare as an accepted birth facility. In recognition of our military families’ service and sacrifice, we’ve worked diligently to make natural birth care accessible to those who serve our country.

This means military families can now use their Tricare Standard/Select insurance to cover the facility fee at The Birthing Inn, just like any civilian insurance plan. You no longer need to pay out of pocket for your birth center experience.

With Tricare Select

You can schedule an appointment with any TRICARE-authorized provider. An authorized provider is any individual, institution/organization, or supplier that is licensed by a state, accredited by a national organization, or meets other standards of the medical community, and is certified to provide benefits. There are two types of TRICARE-authorized providers: Network and Non-Network.

You don’t need a referral, but some services might require prior authorization from Health Net.
